Start is an online careers platform created by U-Explore and it is used nationally. Start in Blackpool has been created to offer tailored information about the local offer of education, employment and training. The site can be accessed by and has targeted information for students, parents/carers, education staff and employers. In this academic year all students from Year 7 to Year 11 will be given their own accounts and will then have a Start Profile. They will be able explore careers options and keep their own records of careers experiences as they journey through high school and therefore helping them consider their options for progression after school and beyond.
