We prioritise strong academic foundations, literacy, communication and the essential skills pupils need for learning, work and life.

Personal development, wellbeing, relationships, regulation and readiness to learn are integral to our curriculum.
Be relevant and enriching
We provide meaningful experiences within and beyond the classroom that broaden horizons, develop interests and talents and connect learning with pupils’ aspirations and futures.

Our curriculum has a clear purpose: to enable every pupil to make progress and successfully transition to their next stage.
Relationships at the heart of learning
We know that pupils learn best when they feel safe, understood and valued.
Our curriculum is therefore underpinned by relational practice, strong and consistent relationships and high expectations. We recognise the impact that pupils’ previous experiences may have had on their engagement with education and provide a predictable, supportive environment in which they can rebuild confidence and experience success.

These principles support pupils not only to access learning now, but to develop the confidence, independence and skills they will need throughout their lives.
One curriculum, different pathways
Educational Diversity serves children and young people from Year 1 through to Year 11. While the curriculum is appropriately adapted according to age, starting point, individual need and intended destination, our ambition remains consistent across the school.
Whether a pupil is preparing to reintegrate into mainstream education, progressing through Key Stage 4 qualifications, accessing a vocational pathway or preparing for Post-16, we want them to leave Educational Diversity with greater knowledge, stronger skills, increased confidence and a clear next step.
Every pupil’s journey is different. Our responsibility is to make sure that journey leads somewhere meaningful.
